Foreign Policy and Security Analyst, Mr Sani Adib has expressed worry that Ghana is now becoming a major illicit and hard drug transit hub in Africa.
His concerns come at the wake of seizure of 3.9 tonnes of cocaine worth €225 million in France, and transiting from Ghana.
Mr Adib told Ama Konadu on the Sunyani-based Sompa FM "Adea Akyi Abia" morning show that the hard drugs originated from South America, saying it disturbing traffickers were now using Ghana as a transit point to export the drugs to Europe.
Mr Adib said the situation was causing serious international embarrassment on the nation that could erode investor confidence, urging the government to do something immediately to secure the good image of Ghana in the international community.
