MoMo Manager assures absolute financial security for users

Mr David Nana Addai, the Mobile Money (MoMo) Manager, Northern Ghana of the Mobile Money Fintech Ltd (MMF) has urged businesses, traders, entrepreneurs and market women to register and use MoMo accounts for safe money keeping.

He emphasised that as the nation's economy transitioned to a cashless system, MMF remained dedicated to providing quality services and also ensuring that customers' MoMo accounts were always safe.

Mr Addai gave the advice in an interview with the media on the sidelines of the MoMoFest 2026 organised by the MMF at Berekum in the Bono Region.

The MomoFest, a two-day revival concert, enabled customers to do more with MoMo from everyday payments and transfers to savings, insurance, credit and safer digital transactions.

The event held at the 'Berekum Mised Park', also witnessed the use of music and culture to promote cashless systems, and featured emerging artists like Kweku Smoke and friends.

It also launched a three-week activation focused on MoMo App onboarding, cashless payments, merchant engagement and fraud education in the Berekum Municipality.

Mr Addai highlighted the importance of the nation going cashless, indicating that the use of MoMo and the cashless system would greatly help the nation's fight against corruption as well as the fight against money counterfeits.

"MoMo remains the surest way to keep our money safe and against counterfeits too", Mr Addai stated, saying that MoMo had grown into a nationwide platform for digital inclusion.

Mr Addai also spoke on MoMo account fraud, and cautioned customers to protect their PIN as well as transaction verification, and avoid picking and answering unwarranted and suspicious mobile phone calls that exposed their MoMo accounts to activities of fraudsters.
