The Reverend Dr Cyril Fayose, the General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana says Christians in the country are ready and have the financial capacity to fund the construction of the abandoned National Cathedral project, initiated by the previous administration.
Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's led New Patriotic Party (NPP) government initiated and started the construction of the national cathedral project which had since been abandoned.
However, speaking in an interview with Ama Konadu on the Sunyan- based Sompa FM "Adea Akyi Abia" morning show, Rev Dr Fayose said the Council only required approval from the government and to facilitate the resumption of work and completion of the project for use.
Rev Dr Fayose noted that as a national asset, the continuation of the project required consensus building.
He added that the completion of the national cathedral project would not only serve as a memorial to the contributions of Christendom to national progress, but also glorify God.
