Innohub Foundation, an enterprise support organisation with funding from MTN Ghana, has announced the disbursement of GHC20 million grant to bolster operations of 150 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in three regions in 2026.
The beneficiaries would be selected from the Bono, Bono East and Ahafo Regions and receive funding support ranging between GHC10,000 and GHC20,000 each through business pitch.
"This year we intend to support between 100 and 150 MSMEs in the regions, depending on their funding needs", Miss Juliet Dzasi, the Programme Lead, Innohub Foundation told Sompa FM in an interview.
She explained that the programme targeted youth-led, women-led and People with Disabilities (PwDs)-led MSMEs.
She added that support sought to grow and expand the operations of the MSMEs, and thereby positioned them well to create more job opportunities for others as well.
Ms Dzasi spoke to Sompa FM during a pitch event, organised in Sunyani for the selection of the beneficiaries for the Bono Region, saying that similar events would be held at Techiman and Goaso for Bono East and Ahafo Regions respectively.
Besides the financial support, she said the programme offered selected beneficiaries with training and business development skills to help them use their and market linkages.
Ms Dzasi added that with support from the MTN Ghana, the programme also registered the businesses onto the 'merchant account' to enable them separate their business account from their personal account.
