Bono Regional House of Chiefs Swears In Sunyani Paramount Chief

The Paramount Chief of the Sunyani Traditional Area, Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor II, has been inducted into the Bono Regional House of Chiefs.

After his swearing-in ceremony, Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor II, speaking at the Nana Bosoma Palace, thanked the chiefs and people of Sunyani for their massive support.

He said he was deeply moved to see elderly people who could hardly walk joining the crowd to support him, adding that it shows the high expectations the people have of his reign.

"It is the people who made me King, and I will serve the people," he said.

The Sunyani Paramount Chief noted that he holds no grudge against anyone and will dedicate his reign to bringing development to Sunyani.

On local sanitation and order, Odeefour directed market women selling along the GPRTU to Masom-Masom road to move into the market and vacate the roadside.

He also gave street coconut sellers three days to relocate from unauthorized spots and warned Pragyia riders to stop operating within the Sunyani town centre
