NDC member demands answer, as vetting committee disqualifies aspirants

The former Deputy Youth Organizer and Campaign Organizer for Mustapha Merchark, a disqualified NDC Chairmanship aspirant in Sunyani East ,Mr. William Zigah, says he does not know what transpired during the vetting that led to his candidate's disqualification because Mustapha entered the vetting room alone.

Speaking on Sompa FM’s “Ade Akye Abia” show with Ama Konadu in Sunyani, Mr. Zigah described the development as fraudulent, but stressed that it will not succeed. He disclosed that he is conducting his own investigations as an organizer.

Mr. Zigah further alleged that a group of young men was organized to attack him. According to him, he was suddenly set upon by several individuals who beat him mercilessly. He said he was pushed onto pavement blocks and sustained injuries to his head and mouth, while his shoes were torn and his mobile phone destroyed during the incident.

He added that upon the advice of local leaders, he reported the matter to the police before seeking medical attention at the hospital.
