I Bring Onboard Unity, for My Constituency is Worthless Without Oneness- Newly Elected AAK NDC Chairman Assures
The newly elected National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman for the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese (AAK) Constituency in the Central Region, Mr. Kojo Arkoh, has pledged to promote unity and togetherness among party members, stressing that the constituency can achieve meaningful progress only when its members work together towards a common goal.
The chairman who having won the poll with 874 votes as against 572 votes of his incumbent compatriot Vincent Koomson, in his post-election remarks said, his leadership would focus on bringing all members on board, irrespective of their differences, to strengthen the party’s internal cohesion and create a common front for victory towards the 2028 general election.
According to him, unity remains a critical requirement for the constituency to achieve its political and developmental aspirations, adding that divisions among members could undermine collective efforts towards the party’s progress.
“I bring onboard unity, for my constituency stands to achieve nothing without oneness,” he said, underscoring his commitment towards fostering cooperation, mutual respect and a shared sense of responsibility among party faithful.
Having once assumed the position of Chairmanship in AAK for the NDC, he emphasized that his election isn't merely an opportunity to occupy a leadership position but a call to serve all members and work towards a common purpose.
The chairman also highlighted the need for party members to put aside personal differences and individual interests in the broader interest of the constituency, noting that collective commitment would be essential to strengthening the party’s structures at the grassroots.
He indicated that his leadership would seek to encourage dialogue, inclusiveness and collaboration among constituency executives, branch leaders, supporters and other stakeholders to build a united political front.
The newly elected chairman further called on party members to support the new administration and contribute their ideas, time and resources towards achieving its objectives.
He noted that a united party would be better positioned to engage communities, address local concerns and advance the interests of constituents.
The chairman expressed optimism that, with the commitment of members and the willingness to work together, the AAK NDC could consolidate its structures and pursue its shared aspirations.
He urged party faithful to embrace unity as a collective responsibility rather than a task for the constituency executive alone, insisting that the future of the party in the constituency would depend largely on the willingness of members to stand together.
