Hon.Ibrahim Issahak Opens Global Doors: 5 Atwima Mponua Youth Win Full Master's Scholarships To Top University In Turkiye

In a major boost to youth development and human capital empowerment in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Ibrahim Issahak, has secured fully funded Master's degree scholarships for five brilliant young people from the district to study at the prestigious Konya Food and Agriculture University in Türkiye.

The life-changing opportunity, according to the DCE, was made possible through his strategic engagement and the instrumental role of Ghana's Ambassador to Türkiye, H.E. Sheikh Abdul Nasir-Deen, who facilitated five scholarship slots for the district.

Hon. Issahak disclosed that two of the beneficiaries have already secured their visas and successfully departed Ghana last Saturday to begin their academic journey in Türkiye, while a third beneficiary is scheduled to depart in February next year. Processes are also underway to ensure the remaining two beneficiaries take full advantage of the opportunity.

Speaking on the feat, Hon. Issahak said his leadership has always been anchored on creating life-changing opportunities for his people to realize their full potential.

"My goal has always been to ensure that opportunities abound for the good people of Atwima Mponua to advance their lives and fulfil their potential, in all spheres. This is why I continue to cast my net as widely as possible, seeking opportunities and partnerships that can positively transform the lives of the people I proudly serve as District Chief Executive," he stated.

"I am therefore delighted to announce that two young people from Atwima Mponua have secured full scholarships to pursue their Master’s degree studies at the Konya Food and Agriculture University in Türkiye. Through the intervention of the Ghanaian Ambassador to Türkiye, H.E. Sheikh Abdul Nasir-Deen, we were able to secure five scholarship opportunities for some of our promising young people to pursue postgraduate studies in Türkiye," he added.

The scholarship package covers full tuition, accommodation, and other academic-related expenses, easing the huge financial burden on the beneficiaries and their families.

Hon. Issahak expressed deep gratitude to Almighty Allah (SWT) for making the initiative possible, and extended profound appreciation to H.E. Sheikh Abdul Nasir-Deen and the President and Management of Konya Food and Agriculture University for their generosity and commitment to youth empowerment.

He further admonished the beneficiaries to be worthy ambassadors of Atwima Mponua and Ghana at large.

"To our beneficiaries, I wish you every success in your studies. Give off your very best, remain disciplined and focused, and above all, make the most of this opportunity. Your success will not only be a personal achievement but also an inspiration to many other young people back home. The world is full of opportunities. Our responsibility is to find them, open the doors and ensure that our people can walk through them," he advised.

This latest intervention is part of a series of deliberate human-centered policies being championed by Hon. Ibrahim Issahak since assuming office as DCE. Aside from massive infrastructural projects in education, health, and roads, he has prioritized youth empowerment, skills training, and access to both local and international educational opportunities.

Residents, opinion leaders, and youth groups in the district have lauded the DCE for his visionary leadership, noting that for the first time, young people from remote communities in Atwima Mponua are getting the chance to study abroad.

Parents of the beneficiaries, overwhelmed with joy, thanked Hon. Issahak and the Ghanaian Ambassador for giving their   children a chance they never imagined, and prayed for more of such opportunities for other needy but brilliant youth.

Hon. Issahak has assured that his office will not relent in scouting for more international scholarships, exchange programmes, and technical and vocational training opportunities to equip the youth of Atwima Mponua to compete globally and contribute meaningfully to the development of the district and Ghana as a whole.
