The Global Media Foundation (GloMeF) and its partners has marked the 2026 International Youth Day in Sunyani, bringing together the adolescent to discuss issues affecting their lives.
It was on the theme: “Youth advancing multilateral cooperation through technology and partnership”.
Speaking at a ceremony to commemorating the Day, Mr Simon Asore, the Executive Director of Citizen Watch Ghana, partners highlighted the role of the youth towards nation-building.
He spoke on the Constitutional Review Committee’s proposal towards reducing the minimum age for presidential candidates, saying the proposal presents an opportunity for young people to aspire to the highest political office in the country.
Master Daniel Frimpong-Sarkodie, the ‘Speaker’ of the Sunyani Adolescent Parliament set up by the GloMeF said that the youth had a crucial role to play in advancing the nation’s development.
He urged young people to be mindful of their actions and decisions, emphasizing the need for them to stay focused and make choices that would shape their future.
