Farmer butchered wife, kills himself too

Brodi, a farming community in the Tain District of the Bono Region was thrown into a state of shock and mourning when a farmer allegedly butchered his 45-year-old wife, and killed himself afterward.

The farmer popularly, popularly known as Kwabena Jack and within his 50s, butchered her wife, when they both went to farm on Monday August 11, 2026.

Mr Kingsley Obah, the Assembly Member for the Brodi Electoral Area confirmed the heart-breaking incident to the media at Brodi.

He said the community members got information about the murder of Abena Donkor, launched a manhunt, and discovered the lifeless body of Jack at a nearby bush on Tuesday August 12.

Police have since deposited the bodies at the Tain District Government Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy, as investigations continued.
