Dr. Nana Kwasi Bredu Antwi, popularly known as Nana H Lab, has thrown his weight behind Ghanaian football legend Samuel Osei Kuffour for the vacant Asante Kotoko CEO position, while sharply criticizing other high-profile names linked to the role.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Mr Akwasi Atta Twum Barima (Papa Cleff) on Sompa Premier Sports this morning on the 19th of March 2026, the Vice Chairman of Asante Kotoko Circle 43 and advisor to the National Supporters Chairman, Chairman Solomon Ofosu Ware, provided his personal candid assessment of the potential candidates currently dominating the headlines.
Nana H Lab did not hold back when discussing former CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah, describing his 2020 - 2023 tenure as ending on a note of "disrespect" toward the board. He further labeled how he managed the Adako Jachie project during that era as abysmal.
He also dismissed the prospects of radio personality Fred Achie, citing a lack of experience in football management administration. He noted that Achie’s past unpleasant on-air pronouncements and remarks about the club will have bad effect on the fanbase’s responds towards the club making it unlikely they would rally behind his leadership.
Regarding veteran administrator George Afriyie, Nana H Lab acknowledged his vast influence but argued that his feud with the current GFA President would ultimately hinder his ability to help Kotoko.
While admitting that Samuel Osei Kuffour has limited direct experience in club management, Nana H Lab insisted the former Bayern Munich star is the ideal candidate based on his elite playing career at the highest level of world football, his extensive network within the global sporting industry that can draw investments and sponsorships into the club and also he is a stature that commands immediate respect from both players and supporters.
