Black Queens produced a commanding performance to defeat Russia 4-0 in their matchday 2 encounter at the Pink Ladies Cup.
Ghana asserted control early and were rewarded in the eighth minute when Stella Nyamekye opened the scoring with a composed finish to hand the Black Queens a deserved lead.
Doris Boaduwaa doubled the advantage in the 17th minute after a well-worked attacking move. She struck again in the 33rd minute to complete her brace, ensuring Ghana went into the break with a comfortable 3-0 lead.
Russia attempted to respond in the second half but struggled to break down Ghana’s disciplined defence. The Black Queens remained organised at the back and continued to pose a threat on the counter.
Ghana sealed the emphatic victory in the 88th minute when Patience Ajegipena Zakaria added the fourth goal to cap a dominant display.
The result sends the Black Queens top of the table with two wins from two matches. They will conclude their campaign against Tanzania on Friday, March 6, 2026.
