Drivers who load passengers at unauthorized places will be punished severely-Sunyani city authorities
Mr Yaw Twene, the Head of Security at the Sunyani Municipal Assembly has cautioned commercial drivers against loading passengers at unauthorized places in the Sunyani Township.
He warned that offenders would be punished severely, saying that all the drivers were expected to load passengers from the temporary lorry station in the Sunyani Municipal Hospital enclave.
The Assembly relocated the Sunyani main lorry station to the temporal Site to pave the way for the rehabilitation works to be done at the station which is progressing steadily.
In an interview with Kwasi Kyei Baffour on the Friday edition of the Sunyani-based Sompa FM "Adea Akyi Abia"
, Mr Twene also urged traders selling at the shoulders of the streets around the old station to also vacate.
Mr Twene said the assembly was also putting in place measures to ensure that private cars were not parked at unauthorized places in the capital.
