Baba Amando' lodges police complaint for threat of life

Mr Abubakar Yakubu, an outspoken communicator and former Communications officer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Sunyani East constituency has lodged a complaint at the Bono Regional police command for threat of life.

Popularly known in the political circle as 'Baba Amando", Mr Yakubu lodged the complaint on Friday October 9, 2020 around 1400 hours.

After writing his official statement, he told Sompa FM that he received the death threats from an astute supporter and a new media blogger of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He said the threat of his life was contained in a video pasted by the blogger which had since gone viral on social media, and asked for police investigations.

Mr Yakubu said that video followed his determination to help tackle the growing illegal mining activities in the Berekum West District of the Bono Region.

Touching on the illegal mining, Mr Yakubu called on traditional authorities at the Berekum West District to stem the illegal mining at Amomaso, a community in the area.
