Dr Richmond Yeboah, a governance and development analyst has called for strengthened unity in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the largest opposition party to make impact in the Election 2028.
He said party unity remained prerequisite if the NPP could win the Election 2028 and urged the party to settle its difference with Mr Kennedy Agyapong, the party’s former Member of Parliament for Assin South.
Dr Yeboah called on the former Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s Election 2028 flagbearer to so more to strengthen unity and make the party formidable for the next General Election.
He made the call in an interview with Ama Konadu on the Sunyani-based Sompa FM ‘Adeakyi Abia” morning show on Monday
Nonetheless, Dr Yeboah noted that some unruly pronouncements and criticism against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) by Mr Kennedy Agyapong would not in any way have any negative effect on the image of the NPP.
He justified that those pronouncement by the embattled former MP against the NPP were nothing new, noting that Mr Agyapong similar statements against the NPP in 2016, but that did not affect the party’s fortunes in winning Election 2016.
