Mr Kofi Ofosu Boateng, the Bono Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has chastised the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government for ‘deceiving’ cocoa farmers in the country.
He said it was unfortunate that President John Dramani Mahama could not fulfil his Election 2024 campaign promise of bettering the lives of cocoa farmers.
Mr Boateng said the NPP was worried that the government had not still pay cocoa farmers, despite the NDC’s juicy promises the party made to woo the votes of the cocoa farmers in the last General Election.
He was speaking to Ama Konadu on the Monday edition of the Sunyani-based Sompa FM “Adea Akye Abia” Morning show, saying that the government had also failed Ghanaians in the implementation and continuity of the Free Senior High School programme.
Mr Boateng said the NPP had learnt lessons, saying that the party as re-strategizing to regain political power in the Election 2028.
