Earlier in the day, the NDC’s national leadership issued a statement condemning what it described as widespread incidents of bribery and inducement at some polling centres and announced the immediate launch of investigations into the allegations.
In the statement signed by the party’s General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the party said it would take swift disciplinary action against any candidate found culpable and warned that future occurrences could attract drastic sanctions, including the possible cancellation of elections.
