Dr Yaw Adutwum and Engineer Kwabena Agyei Agyapong each recorded zero (0) votes in the provisional results released for Dormaa West, making them the lowest-scoring candidates in the contest for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential flagbearer.
The results, which list multiple candidates with varying totals, show that neither Adutwum nor Agyapong secured any votes during the exercise.
While, their other contestants: Dr Mahamadu Bawumia leading the field with 175 votes, followed by Kennedy Agyapong who polled 95 votes, and Bryan Acheampong with 42 votes.
Observers note that zero scores, while uncommon, may be attributed to limited campaigning, late entry into the race, or a lack of grassroots presence. In some cases, candidates remain on the ballot despite stepping back from active participation.
Residents have called on political parties and the Electoral Commission to strengthen civic education and ensure broader participation in future elections.
The Electoral Commission has indicated that the figures are provisional and subject to confirmation, urging the public to remain calm as the process continues.
