The Member of Parliament for Chiana-Paga, Nkyema Billa Alamzy has been invited by the Functional Executive Committee (FEC) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) over his recent comment on Asiedu Nketia’s ‘Thank You’ tour.
In a statement issued by the party on September 29, 2025, the MP is expected to appear before the Committee on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 2 pm at the party’s headquarters.
The lawmaker, in a widely circulated video on social media was questioning the motive behind a ‘thank you’ tour being organised by the National Chairman of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, in his constituency.
He also lamented the lack of jobs for his constituents and other pressing needs which he believed needed urgent attention than the ‘thank you’ tour the leadership was embarking.
The statement signed by the Director of Administration for the party, Emmanuel Zumakpeh, noted that the legislator was needed by the party executives to answer questions and provide further clarification on his comment.
“The attention of the Functional Executive Commitee (FEC) has been drawn to a widely circulated video recording from the studios of GH One TV, in which you were heard questioning the rationale for any “thank you tour” by the leadership of the Party in your constituency, as well as making other remarks which did not sit well with the leadership of the Party.
“In view of the concerns raised by your comments in the said video, you are hereby invited to appear before the Committee to provide clarification and further explanation,” the statement addressed to the MP indicated.
