The Chiefs and people of Asempaneye, a farming community in the Asempaneye in the Jaman South Municipality of the Bono Region have appealed for classroom blocks for the local basic school in the community.
In an interview with Sompa FM at Asempaneye, Nana Anthony Ankamah III, the Chief of the area therefore called on government, NGOs and corporate institutions to come to their aid.
He regretted that most of the school children in the community presently study under trees due to inadequate classroom blocks impeding effective teaching and learning.
Nana Ankamah noted that teaching and learning were always disrupted during the rainy seasons, as the school authorities were forced to close or suspend lessons.
