The Ghana National Fire Service says it recorded 94 cases of fire outbreaks in the first quarter of 2026.
Assistant Divisional Officer Grade one (ADO 1) Kwame Adomako, the Public Relations Officer for GNFS who disclosed this in an interview with Sompa FM in
Sunyani said the outbreak of fire doesn't only happen in the dry season therefore people should pay attention to the daily education of the service.
He indicated more fire cases are recorded during the rainy season and urged residents to be careful.
Mr Adomako also noted that several cars got burnt but last year but only 7 cases have been recorded this year adding no casualty has been recorded in the various fire outbreaks
