Mr Joe Appiah, the Assembly Member of Penkwase Low-Cost Electoral Area in the Sunyani Municipality has donated items to support some candidates writing the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Municipality.

The items comprise quantities of mathematical sets and boxes of pens to be distributed among 260 candidates selected from the Sacred Heart Junior High School (JHS), His Grace Academy and Resurrection Preby JHS and Panest JHS.

In an interview with the media on the sidelines of presentation ceremony held at the premises of the Sacred Heart JHS in Sunyani, Mr Appiah said the items were to inspire the candidates to learn hard to write the exams.

Mr Appiah advised the candidates to be studious and be confident too, cautioning them against the temptation of engaging in examination malpractices that would land them in trouble.
