A 50-year-old man, identified as Erekodo, has died under mysterious circumstances at a chop bar in Denkyemuoso, a community in the Kwadaso Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The incident occurred on Easter Monday around 4:30 p.m.

Erekodo reportedly collapsed without warning while at the drinking spot, leaving patrons shocked and disbelieving. Despite attempts to revive him, he was pronounced dead.

The cause of death remains unknown, sparking concerns among residents. Authorities have been notified, and police are investigating the incident.

"This is very painful, especially happening during Easter, a time we are supposed to celebrate life and be with family," a resident said.

The body has been taken to the morgue for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
