Some residents in Sunyani, the Bono Regional capital are appealing to President John Dramani Mahama to provide the Sunyani Teaching Hospital with standard medical devices and equipment, as the President begins his two-day visit to the region.
During his visit, the president is expected to address a durbar of chiefs and people of the region at the Jubilee Park on Thursday March 19.
He will also inspect progress of work on the construction of some educational facilities at the Sunyani Senior High School.
Commenting on the President’s visit, the residents told Sompa FM in an interview in Sunyani that also expected that the President facilitate the completion of work on the construction of some major road projects in the Sunyani Municipality.
Mr Simon Peter, a resident appealed to the government to create more job opportunity for the youth.
Another resident, Mr Abdul Razak, expressed concern about poor lighting system in the capital and called on the city authorities to do something about that for improved security.
