Mr Vincent Antwi Agyei, the Sunyani Municipal Chief Executive has admonished traders, shop owners and businesses along the shoulders of the Sunyani-Abesim highway to relocate as the Assembly finalizes processes for the dualization of the stretch.
He said the traders and businesses pleaded for a grace period to evacuate, reminding them that the grace period ended February 2026, saying the assembly expected that they complied with the directive.
Speaking on the Sunyani-based Sompa FM ‘Me Man Nti show’ a social programme hosted by Kwasi Kyei Baffour, Mr Agyei said the assembly required cooperation from the traders and public to facilitate the successfully reconstruction of the highway to ease the growing vehicular traffic on the stretch.
