Ntaabene, a farming community, near Atuna in the Jaman South Municipality of the Bono Region has enstooled a chief and queen-mother to bring the development of the community to the next level.

Osagyefo Appiah Kubi, Chief of Atuna performed traditional rites at a colourful ceremony held at Ntaabene for the successful enstoolment of Nana Kwadwo Ankwa Ofori I, and Nana Akua Kumi I, the chief and queen-mother respectively.
Hitherto, the farming community has no chief and queen because it directly owes allegiance to the Atuna Divisional Council.

Osagyefo Kubi urged the chief and the queen-mother to commit to the progressive development of the area for the betterment of their subjects.
Nana Ankwa I thanked the people for the confidence reposed in him, pledging rally the people to push-forward the development of the area.
He said the Ntaabene community was fast growing and called for government support towards the establishment of a basic school and Community-based Health Planning Service (CHPS) compound in the area.


The people in the area could not hide their joy when Nana Kwadwo Ankwaa Ofori I was taken through the traditional rites.
