The Right Reverend Festus Yeboah-Asuamah, the Anglican Bishop of the Sunyani Diocese has handed-over some furniture to the Sunyani St Anslem's Cluster of Schools.
They include 120 dual and 80 mono desks and are to be distributed among the schools comprising St Matthew's Anglican Kindergarten, St Anselm's Primary and Junior High as well as the Bishop Lemaire Primary and Junior High Schools.
hf The St Anslem's Anglican Child Development Center with funded from Compassion International, a Non-governmental Organisation donated the furniture to improve teaching and learning in the beneficiary schools.
Speaking at a short ceremony held at the premises of the cluster of schools in Sunyani, Rt Rev Yeboah-Asuamah asked the school authorities to take good care of the desks and ensured that they were secured.
The Rev Father Charles Ansu Komor, the Bono and Ahafo Regional Manager of the Anglican Schools who received the desks on behalf of the schools thanked the Center, the Anglican church and the Compassion International for the gesture,
He appealed for more support to improve the academic environment for effective teaching and learning.
Mr Duodu Bimpong, the Director of the St Anslem's Anglican Child Development Center also asked the school authorities to make good use of the furniture, saying the NGO could do more for the schools, if the school children and the teachers maintain the desks.
