A tragic motorbike accident at Beposo–Juansa Nkwanta, near Nsuta in the Sekyere Central District of the Ashanti Region, has claimed the lives of two young teenagers identified as Randolf and Christopher.
The fatal crash occurred at about 5:30 p.m. yesterday, involving a collision between two motorbikes.
Confirming the incident to Sompa News, the Assembly Member for Beposo, Samuel Kodua, explained that the accident was caused by a large pothole in the middle of the road.
According to him, both riders attempted to swerve to avoid the pothole, leading to a head-on collision.
He stated that Randolf died instantly at the scene, while Christopher passed away on the way to the hospital.
Meanwhile, another teenage boy who sustained severe injuries in the accident is currently in critical condition at the Asamang Hospital, where he is receiving treatment.
The tragic incident has once again raised concerns about the poor state of roads in the area, with residents calling on authorities to urgently fix the dangerous potholes to prevent further loss of lives.
