The 2025/2026 Student Representative Council of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) has presented 5,000 pieces of exercise books three basic schools in the Sunyani and Sunyani West Municipalities.
They include the UENR and Mmredane Basic Schools in Sunyani as well as Odomase Presbyterian Basic School in Sunyani west.

Speaking at separate distribution exercises as the beneficiary schools, Mr Abdulliah Zakaria Agyei, the President of the SRC said the council intended to distribute 15,000 pieces of exercise books to 20 selected basic schools in the two municipalities.

He said the presentations aligned with the Council’s social responsibility programme to give back to the needy and vulnerable people.
Mr Agyei explained that the council was dedicated to identify and support vulnerable pupils and students to continue with their education and achieve high academic laurels.
Some of the beneficiary students thanked the SRC for the gesture and pledged to learn hard.
