Madam Millicent Amankwaa Yeboah, the Member of Parliament for Sunyani West constituency has admitted that investigations are progressing on alleged corruption in connection with the construction of the Odomase Ring Road projects.
The construction of the ring road in the constituency has been greeted with public mix-reactions following alleged extortions of monies from some personnel of the Sunyani West Municipal Assembly ostensibly to divert the road project from its original plan.
Sompa FM gathered that some affected residents of the project were allegedly paying the bribes for the diversion of the project, a situation contributing to a public outcry in the area.
Speaking on the Tuesday Edition of Sompa FM ‘Adia Akye Abia’ show hosted by Ama Konadu, Mad Yeboah described the allegations as serious that could affect the execution of the project.
Mad Yeboah said the government had the prerogative rights to construct roads for spur rapid socio-economic growth and progressive development.
