The Oguaamanhen, Osabarimba Dr. Kwesi Atta II, has honored Bishop Isaac Boadu, the Head Pastor and General Overseer of the International Christian Life Cathedral with a royal name in recognition of his selfless dedication to the growth and development of Cape Coast.
The conferment of the royal name on Bishop Boadu is a testament to his tireless efforts to improve the lives of Cape Coast residents and acknowledge the Man-of-God's outstanding contributions to the wellbeing of the town.
Bishop Isaac Boadu's honor recognizes his contribution to society, including promoting cultural preservation, education, and community development, coupled with his visionary leadership and service as clergyman.
The Head Pastor and General Overseer of the International Christian Life Cathedral was conferred with the royal name, 'Kwamena Abodweben,' a name which resonates with one of the revered ancestors of the Oguaa Traditional Area who bared the name 'Kwesi Abodweben.' Hence, will know respond to the name Bishop Isaac Kwamena Abodweben Boadu.
The ceremony again saw Bishop Boadu dressed with a royal ring by the Oguaamanhene himself to symbolize his adoption as a true son of Cape Coast.
This occurred at the 25th anniversary celebration of the Life Cathedral Christian International at Cape Coast in the Central Region.
Osabarimba at the occasion noted that "Today I confer unto you as the Paramount Chief of Cape Coast, a gem native name 'Kwamena Abodweben' as your adopted name."
"This royal ring will also serve as the liaison between you and Cape Coast," Osabarimba asserted.
The event equally saw the Cape Coast Mayor, Hon. George Justice Arthur also recognize the contributions of Bishop Isaac Boadu for Cape Coast and honored him with a new role for the metropolitan assembly.
"I, as the political head of the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly, do henceforth declare, Bishop as the Pastor and Bishop for the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly and will lead in any operations of the assembly," the Cape Coast Mayor said.
