The Jaman South Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) in the Bono Region, Honorable Siata Watara, has observed the increasing cases of chieftaincy disputes in the Bono region and has appealed to the Paramount Chief of the Dwenem Traditional Council, Nana Bofo Bene IV, to offer guidance to other traditional rulers in the region on maintaining peace and order for effective leadership in their respective traditional areas.
During her address at the Munufie Yam Festival and the 35th Anniversary celebration of Nana Bofo Bene IV as Chief of the Dwenem Traditional Council, the MCE emphasized the critical need for peace and order in Ghana to ensure that its inhabitants can live harmoniously, free from chieftaincy disputes and conflicts.
She highlighted that the Chief of Dwenem has successfully ruled for over 35 years without any incidents of violence, and therefore, his expertise in fostering peace should be shared with other traditional leaders to promote peace, progress, and growth.
Nana Bofo Bene, the Chief of the Dwenem Traditional Area, shared his major life accomplishment saying, “accumulating much wealth is not my priority”.

Instead, the much-respected chief said his focus is on providing educational support and assistance to students within the Dwenem enclave to ensure a brighter future for his community.
He revealed that plans are far advanced to initiate the distribution of exercise books for students from class 6 to Junior High School three across all schools in the Dwenem Traditional Area in the upcoming academic year.
He further stated that this initiative will eventually be expanded to cover the entire upper primary, with the aim of fostering effective educational progress in the area.
