The Paramount Chief (Omanhene) of Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Area in the Central Region, Obrempong Nyanful Krampah XI, has shared concern over the rapid rise of insult in the way of politicking in Ghana.
According to the revered chief, this kind of trend lately witnessed in the country's political space, speaks ill of Ghana's customs and tradition.
He stressed that chiefs in the country are more often worried and irritated to see youths insult leadership either on social media or in the media space merely due to politics, since that doesn't depict the culture of Ghana, having blamed politicians for leading the path towards such ailing attitude.
The former Central Regional House of Chiefs President made this statement at the Komenda Nyeyi Festival celebrated over the weekend, witnessing the presence of astute politicians like the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang.
Addressing the gathering, the Paramount Chief of the Komenda Traditional Area, Okatakyie Komeh VIII, urged the government to hasten plans to operationalize the Komenda Sugar Factory to boost the work of sugarcane farmers in the area and also get work for unemployed youths in the community to lay their hands on in other to quit their involvement in all forms of social vises.
