Seek Accountability From Gov't on Preservation of Reserved Natural Resources Post Colonial Era - Central Regional Minister Urge Diasporans

The Central Regional Minister, Hon. Ekow Okyere Panyin Eduamoah has urged foreign nationals of African descent to grow pass the trans-africa slave trade (colonization) which to them continues to hinder the progress of Africa.

According to the Minister, though colonization isn't anything to be entertained, it didn't take away everything from us as Ghanaians and Africans.

He observed that the reserved resources leftover after the colonial rule, out of greed and selfishness are been destroyed by human activities like galamsey and poor sanitation.

Hon. Ekow Okyere Panyin Eduamoah admonished this during the visit of the Mayor of Savannah-Georgia in the USA, Hon. Ben R. Johnson and his entourage to the Central Region.

He emphasized that since colonization didn't take everything from Ghana, there's the need for diasporans who visit the country to probe for accountability from government on how well leadership has preserved the country's natural resources after colonial rule.

Hon. Ben Johnson, Mayor of Savannah-Georgia in his address reiterated that his visit to Ghana together with his entourage is to reconnect with their routes and also foster long lasting relations.

Adding that their coming to Ghana is very intentional and necessary since as a human being, to understand where you're going to basically depends on your understanding to where you're coming from.
