The FindMine Foundation in collaboration with Jamesbert hospital has conducted free breast cancer screening for market women and traders at Chiraa in the Sunyani West Municipality.
The foundation also launched a fund-raising rally to mobilize resources to execute its vision of empowering women to become self-reliant and thereby contribute to the development of their respective communities.
Miss Lawrencia Ama Yeboah, the Chief Executive Officer for the FindMine Foundation said the foundation was established in 2025 and had since distributed some sanitary pads to the Chiraa SDA Basic School.
She said the foundation remained committed to help unearth and build on the potential of girls and sensitize them on menstrual health as well as providing them with employable skills training, mentorship, and leadership development.
Barima Mintah Afari ll, the Chief of Chiraa and Benkumhene of the Dormaa Traditional Area said the chiefs in the area was also ready to support the foundation to achieve its vision.

Dr Philip Anokye, a medical practitioner at the Chiraa Jamesbert Hospital appealed for financial support to enable the foundation to execute its mandate.
Some of the beneficiaries of the breast screening thanked the foundation for the opportunity. The foundation is also collaborating with the hospital to conduct free surgeries to individuals. 
The beneficiaries will benefit from free surgeries on conditions such as lumps and bumps, swellings, fibroids, hernias, hydro celebrating, circumcision and wound treatment.
