The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has paid glowing tribute to the late Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, describing her as a beacon of courage, leadership, and resilience whose legacy continues to inspire generations.
In a statement signed by the Director of Corporate Affairs, Bright Asempa Tsadidey, on behalf of the management and staff of the Authority, the GTA expressed its heartfelt condolences to the Rawlings family following the passing of the former First Lady of the Republic of Ghana.
“We are deeply saddened by her passing. Nana Konadu was not only a symbol of courage and leadership but also a woman whose vision, resilience, and advocacy left an indelible mark on Ghana’s social and political landscape,” the statement read.
The Authority lauded Nana Konadu’s lifelong contribution to women’s empowerment, social advancement, and national development, describing her as a trailblazer whose work transcended generations.
“Her contribution to women’s empowerment and national development will forever be remembered with gratitude and respect,” it added.
The GTA further extended sympathy to the bereaved family, noting that the former First Lady’s impact on Ghana’s nation-building journey remains unmatched.
“In this moment of profound grief, our thoughts and prayers are with the Rawlings family. May you find comfort in the legacy she leaves behind and strength in the love and memories you shared. Ghana has lost a great daughter, but her spirit will continue to inspire generations to come,” the statement said.
The tribute concluded with a solemn message, “May her soul rest in perfect peace.”
