Leading telecommunications network, MTN-Ghana has given its customers the need to have a growing trust in the company's operations, particularly with regards to Mobile-Money (Momo) fraud.
As the surge of cybercrime incidents continues to generate concern within the technological space and leaves momo fraud as no exception, has led leadership of MTN-Ghana to assure its customers of the numerous interventions it has undertaken to fight the menace which has for years, left many customers devastated.
Addressing the press in Elmina after a Media and Stakeholders Forum in the Central Region on Thursday, Mr. Reuben Opata, the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for MTN-Ghana issued that there has been several steps taken by MTN to curb momo fraud, having received numerous feedbacks on customers been defrauded of their momo wallet.

According to him, the onus lies on customers to stay vigilant and abide by the company's directive in tackling momo fraud, since it has made several sensitization and public awareness on momo fraud with initiatives like 'shine your eye,' introduced to offer customers the needed consciousness to stay alert in other not to have them defrauded of their hard earn monies.
Mr. Reuben Opata again highlighted MTN's stance to better improve on its service and expand its network connectivity across the length and breath of the country.
He underscored that MTN has set upon itself to extend its tentacles even wider in 2026 by expanding network in the Central Region, especially at remote and hard to reach communities.
MTN-Ghana's Media and Stakeholders Forum is an annual event that brings together key stakeholders, including journalists and digital influencers to discuss the company's services, achievements, challenges, and future plans.

The forum aims to foster transparency on MTN's performance, digital infrastructure, and customer experience initiatives, as it also strengthens partnership with stakeholders, including the media to promote open dialogue and collaboration.
