The Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has revealed that he has tasked the technical handlers of the Black Stars to head into the friendly games with the mindset of winning.
The senior national team, as part of their preparations for the 2026 World Cup, slated for this summer, will face Austria and Germany in international friendly games.
Ghana will face Austria on Friday, March 27, at the Ernst Happel Stadium before travelling to play Germany on Monday, March 30, in Stuttgart.
Ahead of these games, Mr Adams, speaking to Graphic Sports, insisted that he has asked Otto Addo and his backroom staff to ensure they win the games.
“I’ve told the coaches that these two friendlies, we are going with the mindset of winning, not just going to try players,” the Buem MP said.
The Black Stars opened camp on Sunday and held their first training session on Monday with 21 players. However, Alexander Djiku and Kojo Oppong Peprah are expected to arrive in camp today.
Meanwhile, the Black Stars will also play Mexico and Wales in May and June in their final preparatory games ahead of the World Cup.
