Mahama hails Black Stars’ World Cup Qualification

President John Dramani Mahama has congratulated the Black Stars for securing a spot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, to be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

In a post on Facebook on Monday, October 13, President Mahama praised the team’s achievement, writing: “Congratulations to the senior national team, the #BlackStars. Another qualification for the World Cup. #ResettingGhana.”

 

The Black Stars sealed their qualification with a hard-fought 1–0 win over Comoros on Sunday night, in Accra, earning Ghana its fifth appearance on football’s biggest stage since their debut in 2006.
