Head coach of Aduana Football Club, Cioba Aristica has apologized to the club fans following their Ghana Premier League season opener defeat to Karela United.

The fire boys fell short in their opening game of the 2025/26 campaign, held at the Aliu Mahama Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Malik Abubakar’s strike in the 13th-minute mark was enough for the Pride and Passion side to secure maximum points.

Aduana FC struggled to recover from the early setback and rarely threatened to turn the game around. The defeat leaves them with work to do ahead of their first home fixture next weekend.

However, the Romanian trainer has rendered an apology to the club fans, while promising a swift turn around to the season.

“I apologise to the club fans for defeat against Karela United. We are really sorry with the result. It was our first game of the season and we needed to win to get off to the flying start but it didn’t happen. It was a difficult game for us” he said at the post-match conference.

Aduana FC return to Dormaa to host Nations FC at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in matchday 2 of the Ghanaian top-flight.
