Mr Emmanuel Wilson, an anti-corruption advocate has urged strict enforcement of corruption laws to help bring the growing menace in the country under control.
He said laws ought to be enforced to the latter without interference so that offenders would be punished and serve as deterrent to like-minded others.
Speaking on Sunyani-based Sompa FM Monday edition of ‘Ade Akye Abia’ morning show hosted by Ama Konadu, Mr Wilson said though corruption remained the bane of the nation’s accelerated development, weak enforcement was fueling the spread of the economic ill.
Mr Wilson called on the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) to do more to stem vote buying which had eaten deep, undermining the integrity of the nation’s electoral laws.
Mr Wilson commended the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for responding to alleged incidents of vote buying which characterized the party just ended Ayawaso East parliamentary primaries.
