Mr Kojo Frimpong, a leading member of the former Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia campaign team says the re-election as flagbearer is meaningless unless it is linked the total victory of the NPP in the Election 2028.
Nonetheless, he delegates in the for endorsing the former vice president, saying that Alhaji Dr Bawumia winning the just ended presidential primary was an indication that party desired to regain political power in the Election 2028.

Speaking in an interview with the media at Wenchi, Mr Frimpong, also the NPP’s Election 2024 Parliamentary Candidate for the Wenchi constituency said he was highly optimistic that the former vice president would be chosen as the party’s Election 208 flagbearer.

However, he asked the delegates and supporters of Alhaji Dr Bawumia to be moderate in their jubilations, saying that “Bawumia’s victory here is a victory for the NPP”.
