Former Member of Parliament for Ahafo Ano South, Francis Manu-Adabor, has openly endorsed Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, calling on delegates to cast their votes in his favor because of his wide popularity and public recognition.

‎Today, January 31, 2026, over 211,000 delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are voting to elect their flagbearer for the December 7, 2028 presidential election.

‎Speaking to Sompa FM reporter, Ebenezer Owusu Ansah in Mankranso at the election center, the former MP said, Dr. Bawumia stands out as the candidate who connects most with ordinary Ghanaians.

‎“Bawumia is the one who truly fits the position. He is known in every house, and the people understand his vision,” Manu-Adabor stated.

‎Meanwhile, security at the venue was firmly enforced as police officers prevented a group of individuals, described as bodybuilders, from entering the event grounds. The officers explained that only authorized persons were permitted access.

‎“We don’t need anyone apart from those approved by security to protect delegates here,” a police officer told the reporter, emphasizing that the situation was under full control.

‎As of the time of reporting, the police presence remains strong, ensuring a peaceful and orderly atmosphere. “So far, everything is calm and falling in place,”another security source confirmed.

‎The tight security arrangement has contributed to a smooth and incident-free event in Ahafo Ano South, reflecting a generally peaceful environment as voting continues.
