Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential aspirant has expressed confidence and calm optimism following his participation in the ongoing voting exercise, saying reports from the ground indicate a peaceful and orderly process.
Today, January 31, 2026, over 211,000 delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are voting to elect their flagbearer for the December 7, 2028 presidential election.
Speaking in an interview with JoyNews, the Bosomtwe native disclosed that none of his representatives stationed at various polling centres had raised any concerns so far.
“None of my reps have reported to me that there’s anything unusual going on at the centres, and I hope it stays that way,” he said.
Dr. Adutwum, who described himself as a “son of the land of Bosomtwe,” confirmed that he had successfully cast his ballot and urged for continued peace throughout the exercise.
Reflecting on the process, he emphasized faith and patience, noting that he had done his part as a citizen and candidate.
“Everything is in the hands of God. I’ve done what human beings can do; the rest is left to divine providence, by the grace of God,” he added.
Voting continues across the constituency amid tight security and high voter interest, with stakeholders calling for calm as the process unfolds.
