The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that a rerun of the Parliamentary Election in the Kpandai Constituency will take place on Tuesday, 30th December 2025.

The decision follows a ruling by the Tamale High Court on 24th November 2025, which ordered the Commission to conduct a fresh election in the constituency within 30 days.

The directive came after the Clerk to Parliament formally notified the EC on 9th December 2025 that the Kpandai seat had become vacant.

In a press release signed by Mr. Fred Tetteh, Deputy Director of Research, Monitoring and Evaluation, the EC stated that only the three candidates who contested in the 2024 Parliamentary Election will be eligible to participate in the rerun.

The Commission assured the public of its commitment to transparency, fairness, and integrity as it prepares for the upcoming poll.
