Nkoranza North MP performs ground breaking ceremony for construction of 70-kilometer road

The Member of Parliament for Nkoranza North constituency, Mr Joseph Kwasi Mensah has performed ground breaking ceremony for work to begin on the construction of 70 kilometer-road network in the Nkoranza North Municipality of the Bono East Region.

The project connects 21 communities including Bodom, Konkrompe, Senya, Bonte, Bomini, Busunya, Tankor, Fiema, Boabeng, Akrudwa No. 2 and Akrudwa No. 1.

Other connecting communities are Busunya, Tanoboase, Baafi, Kranka, Boana, Yefri, Manso, Kéranka, Sikaa, and Pinihin Road.

The Nag Fair Mount Construction Engineering limited is executing the project expected to be completed within 18 months.

Speaking at the ceremony held at Bodom, Mr Mensah expressed appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama for the project.

On completion he added the road project would open up the area and thereby spur rapid socio-economic growth and development.

 

Mr Francis Owusu Antwi, the Bono East Regional Minister cautioned the contractors against shoddy works, and assuring the government's readiness to improve road infrastructure in the region.
