Obrempong Professor Kyem Amponsah II, the Chief of Fiapre in the Sunyani West Municipality of the Bono Region has inaugurated a newly constructed six-unit classroom block for Kyem Amponsah Senior High School in the town.
The construction of the facility christened ‘Ahenefie Block’ fully funded by Obrempong Amponsah II at the cost of GHC 600,000.
Speaking in an interview with Sompa FM on the sidelines of a ceremony held at the school, Obrempong Amponsah II said he was optimistic that the facility would help ease congestion at the classrooms.

He noted that the school was fast growing, saying that it established in 2023 with only 250 students, but now had 985 students.
Obrempong Amponsah II added that the sharp increase in the student population had put pressure on the limited classroom blocks and pledged his support to help address the physical infrastructure shortfall to create conducive environment for progressive academic work.
Mr Issa Baffoe, the Sunyani West Municipal Director of Education commended the chief for the gesture, appreciating his continuous support towards the growth and development of the school.
