Residents of Aboroso, a predominantly farming community in Dormaa East District of the Bono Region have called on the government to

reshape the deplorable condition of roads in the area to facilitate their movements and economic activities.

According to them the bad nature of the Aboroso-Praprababida stretch ought to be reshaped to open up the area for thriving economic activities.

In an interview with Sompa FM at Aboroso, the residents also appealed to the government to address the intermittent power outages, and provide them with clean water and telecommunication too.

Besides, they said growing illegal mining activities in the area were also destroying water bodies affecting the quality of life of the community

members.

Mr Isaac Afi, the Assembly Member for the Aboroso Electoral Area said the community was a beneficiary of the Ghana Investment Fund for

Electronic Communications (GIFEC) project started about three years ago, however work on the project had stalled for some time now with the community members left behind in the digital inclusion.
