Four Remanded Over GH¢200,000 Robbery Attack in Bono Region

The Wenchi District Court has remanded four suspected armed robbers into Police custody over a violent robbery attack at Brohani near Nsawkaw in the Bono Region.

The suspects: Yakubu Abuu, Ibrahim Ahmed, Abass Saliki and Ibrahim Abdallah were remanded by the court presided over by His Worship Mr. Issah Abdul Wahab on Monday, May 11, 2026, following their arrest by the Nsawkaw District Police Command.

According to a press release issued by the Public Affairs Unit of the Ghana Police Service in Sunyani on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, the suspects were arrested in connection with a robbery attack on a businessman, Michael Kelly Kemever, aged 42.

Police said the complainant reported that on May 7, 2026, at about 8:45 pm, he was travelling as a pillion rider with his apprentice on a motorcycle from Brohani to Hani carrying a travelling bag containing GH¢200,000 in cash.
