An unidentified man, believed to be in his thirties (30's), has been brutally murdered, with key body parts including his heart, penis, intestines, liver, ribs, and eyes removed.
The mutilated remains was discovered between Ekumfi Eyisam and Ekumfi Techiman in the Ekumfi District in the Central Region, sparking widespread fear among residents.
Eyewitness account from Hon. Abdul Razak, Assemblyman, Assemblyman for the Obontser Electoral Area, recounted to receive a distress call at 6:25am on Sunday, April 26, 2026, alerting him to the gruesome murder.
Speaking to Sompa TV's Eric Annan, he described saying, "The body was badly damaged, making identification impossible. I suspect it was killed elsewhere and dumped here," Hon. Razak noted.
Residents are gripped by panic, with many pointing to money rituals as a common suspicion in such cases across Ghana while others speculate a vehicle accident.
"We're living in fear," locals say, urging families to check on missing relatives.
Police investigation is underway, as the mortal remains of the deceased has been deposited at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital morgue for autopsy and preservation.
The case is now with Ekumfi District Police, who have launched an investigation.
No arrests has since been effected by the police.
Hon. Razak appealed: "If you have any missing family member, please come forward or contact us, possible it might be the murdered decease," he said.
